It's called CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION courses. NOT a basic law school course, but a CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSE to keep LAWYERS UPDATED on the changing landscape of Ethics, Client Communication, as well as other aspects of practicing law. MANY States require so many CLE hours per year or multiple years to retain your license to practice law.
